Terms and Conditions
My Kids Library has tried to create a plain-langauge, easily-understood explanation of our policies. You'll find no mumbo-jumbo here, and we hope that this will make it very easy for you to understand and feel comforted by what you read on this page.

If you are uncomfortable with any of the Terms and Conditions, please do not continue creating an account on My Kids Library.
Your Data and Privacy
We promise not to use the personal data that you supply during signup for any commercial purpose. It will never be supplied to any person or company for any purpose unless we are compelled to do so by a court order.
We will undertake every reasonable effort to ensure that your personal data does not come in to the possession of any person whom you did not directly authorize to have it.
It is your sole responsibility to protect yourself from identity theft and fraud.
Please be mindful of posting or providing any information that could be used to perpetrate identity theft or fraud. Such information includes but is not limited to:
- birthdate
- Social Security Number
- your address
- your mother's maiden name
- your phone number
- the name of the town or city where you were born
- bank account numbers
- credit card numbers
- the names of your children and spouse
- your employer
My Kids Library does not ask you for any of that information, so anyone who does ask for it does not represent this site and is probably trying to commit fraud against you. Use common sense and all due caution when interacting with any person you do not personally know.
If someone does commit on-line fraud against you, it is not the fault of My Kids Library, and we will do nothing to assist you or reimburse your losses.
Your Rights
You will have the right to edit or delete most of what you contribute to My Kids Library: reviews of books, reading lists, discussion posts and the content of your user profile are yours to do with as you will. We have provided tools to allow you to delete and edit the content that you have contributed.
The exceptions to this principle are:
- books that you add to My Kids Library
- any votes or ratings that you make
These things are not directly, visibly connected to you and removing them from our system is complicated and inconvenient. So they stay.
Your Responsibilities
You must act in a civil, polite and responsible way when acting as a member of the My Kids Library community. If you are rude, crude, cruel, disruptive, callous, hurtful, mean to other members, you may be removed from the community with no warning.
You are not allowed to sell services or products as a member of the My Kids Library community. Spamming, real or suspected will result in the perpetrator being banned permanently.
Our Rights
The Editor and Editorial Staff of My Kids Library have the right to maintain and develop the site as they see fit. We reserve the right to edit or delete any content that is added to the site for any reason and without explanation. We can terminate the account of any member for any reason and without giving any warning or explanation.
