This charming story has a good message that we can all benefit from: we should not rush to judgement of people we don't know yet.  The way that Marklee the monkey comes to understand all of the things that he initially dislikes or does understand about his new neighbor may help little ones to be more open and tolerant and ready to embrace new faces and friends.
